Welcome to The Wonky Spatula, I’m Nicola and I’m passionate about teaching people how to feed themselves healthy, wholesome and nutritious food 🙂
I am constantly coming up with new and exciting ways to create delicious healthy food. The Wonky Spatula provides simple step by step recipes to help you make healthy choices without making you feel like you are on a diet. My focus is on leading a healthier lifestyle, ‘diets’ aren’t sustainable in the long run so I want to show my readers how they can unlock the shackles when it comes to food rules and eat food they enjoy all year round.
I work full time in a busy office environment so I totally understand the pressures of trying to stick to a healthy lifestyle while also not alienating yourself from social situations, particularly when spending time with friends and family.
This blog started off because I wanted to learn to cook quick and healthy meals and my aim is to show that you can have it all when it comes to finding a balance.
With The Wonky Spatula, my first cookbook, I hope to show you how to cook healthy and live happy through well-balanced, delicious food.
In order to bring you the best recipes possible, I am constantly learning new skills and reading up on healthy living. I have trained as a Chef, completed a diploma in Nutrition and am constantly looking to further my knowledge.
